Use resistors about 10~30 ohms, with power of 100 mW.The current during discharge is around 40~120 mA, which would not make the dry cell too hot. The discharge time for a 1000 mAh cell is about 8~25 hours.

想佢只有少少熱咁放電,(大概30度)？
唔知你提出以上條件的原意為何，30度就相當於室溫，即係唔熱，差滿的電來算用 5Ω １Ｗ 的電阻放電 6 個鐘啦。

You Can Use The Copper Wire Touch The Two Probe Of The Batteries(+),(-),
it causes short circuit,short circuit make the batteries and wires hots,it may explode.
