Last 30 years 29 Post season (1994 strike) ALCS sweeps
2006: Detroit Tigers (4 - 0) over Oakland Athletics
1990: Oakland Athletics (4 - 0) over Boston Red Sox
1988: Oakland Athletics (4 - 0) over Boston Red Sox
1981: New York Yankees (3 - 0) over Oakland Athletics
1980: Kansas City Royals (3 - 0) over New York Yankees

Last 30 years 29 Post season (1994 strike) NLCS Sweeps
2007: Colorado Rockies (4 - 0) over Arizona Diamondbacks
1995: Atlanta Braves (4 - 0) over Cincinnati Reds
1982: St. Louis Cardinals (3 - 0) over Atlanta Braves
1979: Pittsburgh Pirates (3 - 0) over Cincinnati Reds

So 8 teams in the last 29 post seasons have swept meaning theres just about a 9/29 chance of this happening the percent really doesn't mean much though its possible very possible but not very likly what is likely though is that they will go 4-1 or 4-2 so the answer to your first question yes there has been teams that swept in the ALCS and NLCS

In the equal yr? I'd without doubt love to peer that, however it is so not going to have the ones detailed 4 groups in it ... the predominant quandary is that they are 4 groups representing most effective 2 divisions, so you are struggling with every different and groups external your department to make the playoffs ... it is difficult, guy, seeing that as you have got see in up to date years, any one can sneak into that wild card spot ... then you will have a group like Tampa Bay who ruined the possibilities of that matchup altogether .. allow's be sincere ... the Mets are gonna need to study to play September ball earlier than any of this may even be within the dialogue ... Since you can not play a group on your possess department within the first circular, the matchups might figure out flawlessly if correctly all 4 groups made the playoffs ... you then simply want them every to win a brief sequence ... I haven't any doubt the Red Sox might do their side ... the Mets bigger deliver Santana a few run help and you'll have two wins there, so I feel in the event that they made the playoffs they might scratch out a primary circular win .. the Phillies ... they have got misplaced plenty this offseason, whether or not it's to loose company or steroids ... actually I see them suffering to make the playoffs this yr, particularly if Lowe and/or Sheets is going to the NL East ... I particularly feel Florida is gonna be a hard group to overcome this yr and Atlanta appears discovered to be valuable once more.. Finally, my group ... good, allow's be brutally sincere ... the Yankees must uncover the grapes to play playoff baseball ... Sabathia has no longer been a well playoff pitcher and Burnett, despite the fact that well in 2003, will regularly be a query of well being ... after that, you will have Joba, who struggled in '07 (regardless of the worm incident) and Wang, who... good was once past unsightly towards the Indians that equal yr .. In the tip, sure, it is viable ... however plenty of matters must cross correct ... it is not the kind of factor I'd anticipate to peer greater than as soon as ... I imply, I'll wager you Chicago fanatics earlier than the 1909 season were not predicting their Cubbies would not make the World Series for over one hundred years ... so more unusual matters occur in baseball ... that is why I find it irresistible btw, no longer that I must inform you, but when you are a Sox fan, you are gonna love Baldelli ... he was once mostly some of the largest sleeper loose retailers .. while healthful, he performs like an all-famous person ... to have him in your bench ... guy, that is high-quality
