Depends if you are below or above 30 years old.
if you are below 30 years of age, you can apply a Tier 5 Youth visa to UK, that is a 2 years visa with 1 year working capacity. You only need to have a valid BNO and below 30 to apply, there are no other restriction else.
If you are over 30, you need to apply a working visa to work in UK. There are many Working visa to choose form, depends on skill set and what kind of work you are doing in UK.
In all circumsance, you cannot apply working visa, it is your UK employer responsibility to apply you a UK Working Visa. Therefore you need to have a job offer from a valid UK company sponsor (valid mean the company is within requirment to sponsor you, not all company can sponsor someone to work in UK). Again, depend on visa type, you may need to fulfill academic requirment (hold certain certification or degree) and english requirment (you may need to take IELTS exam)
