Yes.

You can't say for sure at this stage of course but if I had to bet on it I'd say yes because they are a very good team.

Yes, they will. But not in 2011 or 2012. They will again in 2013-2015, but will then hit a dry spell for eleven years (2016-2026) but in 2027 they will make it into the playoffs again as the Wild Card team and win it all in an exciting seven game World Series against the Las Vegas Marlins.

Sheesh.

A.) Yes.

As disappointing as the finish to the season was for the Red Sox, a team doesn't simply win 95 games by accident. They still have a lot of pitching to rely on and some good position players. Beckett and Lester are still very solid at the front of the rotation, and remember, the Sox will also get full seasons out of Buchholz and Dice-K instead of scrambling to fit aging veterans like Smoltz and Penny into the mix. Buchholz could very well take off next year and fully live up to his potential now that he knows the # 3 spot in the rotation is his.

To me, the Red Sox are a threat to win 95 games every year for the foreseeable future, but they won't be winning any World Series until they do something about some of their washed-up position players (Ortiz, Lowell, Varitek, etc.). Unfortunately, there just isn't a lot out there right now to immediately help the lineup. In hindsight, the Red Sox lost any chance at the World Series this season when they failed to sign Teixeira in the winter.

i replaced into reviewing MLB Channel's preseason alternatives. extraordinarily plenty all the analysts picked the crimson Sox in the worldwide sequence. maximum have been against the Colorado Rockies. As mentioned, the injuries relatively constrained the crimson Sox this season. the extra advantageous element that harm the crimson Sox have been the injuries to their OF. Ellsbury and Cameron have been meant to fasten down the OF protection with their great variety. bill corridor did an excellent interest of including his bat to the lineup collectively as enjoying the OF yet his protection replaced into no longer stable.
