TRICK: you can take moment at/about any point if the system is at static equilibrium

1)
take moment about A, let the supporting reaction at point E is EkN
8E = 2x40 + 4x10 +6x10 +10x22
E = 50

2)take moment about E, let the supporting reaction at point A is AkN
(counterclockwise moment)-(clockwise moment)=0
(40x6 + 10x4 + 10x2 )- (Ax8 + 22x2)=0
A=32

alternative method, use the result of (1), take moment at any point you like

Hence
reaction at A and E are 32kN and 50kN respectively
