I am now planning to study in the 2-year community college in the USA and transfer to the Universtiy.

Here are the two CCs that I have no idea which one should I choose: Edmonds Community College and Highline Community College.
Can someone give me comments on it?

Besides, Iwould like to know if they are more concentrated on University Transfer or Carceer Training?

Thanks =)

It depends on what you want to study and where you want to transfer. For example, as one of the famous choices here, if you want to go toany campuses of the University of California, going to a college in theState of Washington will definitely limit your chance.

In general, no school is bad school, only bad students.

My suggestion is plan what you want before you choose a college.

American community colleges focus on both advancement and career training in the same priority. So technically, you can do both at the same time.

Community College is also called Junior College in the US. Usually the academic quality is a little below that of a normal university, but some are also pretty good.

In your case, you may want to consider where they are located and where are you going to live first. This will have a major impact on your daily commute to school!

CC has it curriculum basically on 2 tracks. One is for students wanted to transfer to a 4 year U later. The other is for those who want to go to work in the society after the 2 years of study. You should identify that before you attend the CC. Normally the counselor will provide you with a lot of assistance throughout your stay at the CC.

I hope this helps.

Where are these two College? Which University are you planning to go? Which major are you going to take?

You can go to your consular for advices. They will give you a plan that is more appropriate than asking others.

Take 2 years CC before going to U is very popular in US as it is cheaper and something easier. Besides, both credits are recognized.

My elder daughter did not take SAT so she had to go to college. My younger son took SAT and he went to University right from High School.

But you need to check out what major you want to study first.

Community College had more career training subjects that you can go to work at the same time.
