1. Explain why the mitochondrion are abundan in liver cells.

2.Red blood cells do not have nuclear and they found to have a

shorter life span than those cells with nuclear. Explain this.

1. It is because there are lots of metabolic activities carry in liver cell. Including the breakdown of glycogen into glucose, formation of glycogen from glucose for storage, produces and excretes bile, liver breaks down hemoglobin, breaks down toxic substances, etc....
(refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liver#Physiology to find out other functions)

2. RBCs have no nucleus because they can allow more haemoglobin to present. Also, RBCs can maintain a biconcave shape which allow a larger surface area to increase oxygen carrying capacity.
RBCs have no nucleus and it cannot sunthesize the essential material thay need. All the material RBCs need are present in cytoplasm at the beginning. When there materials are used up, RBCs will die because the lack of essential material they need.

3. 1 mm=10^-3m
1 μm=10^-6m

10mm=10^-2m
5μm=5x10^-6m
Magnification=(10^-2)/(5x10^-6)=2000
The magnificant is 2000X
