(a) (3x^5 + 1/x^2 )^n
= (1/x^2 + 3x^5)^n
= ∑[k=0 to n]C(n,k) [(1/x^2)^(n-k)][(3x^5)^(k)]
The fifth term corresponds to k = 4
C(n,4)[(1/x^2)^(n-4)][(3x^5)^4]
The index of x is (-2)(n- 4) + (5)(4) = 0
20 - 2(n - 4) = 0
n = 14
(b) The constant term is C(14,4)3^4 = 81,081
