Evaporating Disk is used for evaporating mostly liquid. It is a container for carrying the liquid when you use the Bunson burner (an laboratory apparatus, something like a metallic candle). You put the evaporating dish on top of a tripod abd then the Bunson burner with fire is below the dish to heat up the liquid in the evaporating dish in order to evaporise/ crytallise the liquid.
