為何香港電壓不下降至110V?兩個理由

1. Household voltage used at present in Hong Kong is set at 220v ac. If the voltage is reduced by half to 110v, the electric power delivered will be reduced by 4 times. Most of the applicances would not work or produce power much less than required.
2. A reduction of votlage to 110v would affect all household transformers/adapters used. A 220v to 6v adapter, for example, would not provide the required voltage for operation of applicances.

Physics "reasons" cannot account for the difference that 100V is used in JAPAN while 220V is used in HK.

Base On My Knowledge,The Voltage Drops n Hong Kong Is Tolerence 6%(206.8V To 233.2V),If The Voltage Drops To 110V Suddenly,Then Almost Electrical Appliance At Your Home Doesn't Get A Work,The Current Of Electrical Applaince Will Increase By Using P=IV,If Its220V,1100W,Is 5A,Right?But If The Voltage Drops To 1100V,But The Power Remain Unchange(1100V),Than The Cuurent Is 10A,It May Increase You Electrical Consumption And The Bill Of Electricity.
