Which team has the best chance of a first round playoff sweep and why?

Yankees! Best team in baseball, Most expensive team as well! It's our time!

The Red Sox; they are 9-1 since 2004 against the Angels in the ALDS. Yes we obviously can't rely just on past history for this series but the point is, we HAVE had a terrific past in the postseason against them. Hopefully we can repeat.

Boston Red Sox: They swept to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 2 times in 2004 and 2007 Postseasons.

Cardinals over the Dodgers. Sure they struggled down the stretch, but the Birds are 5-2 against the Dodgers this season and they have the best one- two punch in baseball in Carpenter and Wainwright. In game three Pinerio will be going and he has had a good year. Plus, Pujols, Holliday and Ludwick in the middle of the lineup will give the Cardinals the best chance to sweep.

SIDE NOTE: Cardinals have swept the Dodgers the last three times they met in the first round.

Red Sox and Yankees. Seriously i dont want to see too many sweeps it gets boring just like in 2007 when the D'backs and Rockies swept the NLDS and the Rockies swept the D'backs in the NLCS.

I would say the Yankees are most likely to sweep the Twins, if only because the Twins are the only team that was unable to set up their rotation and have a lot of tired arms.

Phillies.

Cliff lee and Cole Hamels is a great mix in the playoffs then If J.A Happ pitches in game 3 that would just make it that much better. And our offense is awesome. They can beat the Rockies.

The Yankees do. The Yankees are this immense run scoring monsters who will sweep over the twins. Though they must go to the metrodome to play the Yankees have a chance of sweeping them.
