b.i. If point B and C are shorted, then no current will flow through CD.

So, now, AB and AC are in parallel.

Reading of A1, I1 = V/R = 6/2 = 3 A

As CD is shorted, so the reading of A2 is 0.

As no current flows through CD, so the reading of the voltmeter is 0.


c. If both ammeters are burnt, then their resistance will be infinitely large. And so the reading on the voltmeter is 6V.
