Why do guys go for airhead, immature girls as opposed to the stable, smart ones?

I've figured it out like this.

Men are weak, especially men today.Alot of men today don't have a whole lot of character and integrity, and they don't get the chance to feel like men.

In the old days, men would chop wood, build houses, hunt animals, and go to war. Not today.
So, Men today have alot of issues about control, and their aggression and sexual drive. This is why men like to dominate and abuse women alot.
They have issues with their own masculinity, that being said.

Where are all the smart men out there that can handle a smart women???

I don't know working at Cal tech, i guess.

So an intelligent down to earth women comes along, who's probably smarter than him, and he knows that, and he can't handle that. It cuts his balls off. It makes him insecure.
So, men want to dominate and control, and rule the roost, and with an airheaded blonde, he can do that.

And the rest of us smart gals end up librarians.

Because guys don't like a girl who's right pretty much all of the time, and are mentally challenging for them.
It makes them look bad, and guys don't like having their ego's knocked by their pretty & INTELLIGENT girlfriends.
And most guys are allergic to commitments anyway.

just because your (probably)single doesn't mean guys don't like 'stable and smart' girls. Same question can be asked about women. "why do girls opt for the horrible guys rather than the clever nice ones who actually see them for their personality?". Answer is they don't all do it. Ironically, its mainly the air-headed immature girls who do it.

Many don't...and part of it depends on age (maturity)

Just because you may have been overlooked, don't generalize about what "guys" do...all types of guys go for all types of gals.

I certainly don't go for the "airhead, immature" girls.

nice guys and girls finish last! the airhead ones are the ones that will do anything and they are stupid! the guys like a girl to be easy sometimes because they only want to "get" with them! once a guy has gone out wit one or 2 of them, they realize that they don't want to ge out wit them and they go for the girls that are stable and nice! it happens with guys 2! some guys have common sense and than they are smart and go for the nice stable girls!!

usually until after they hit 25 and become men.. sorry it just the brain pattern of the beast.

because they dont like to be challenged mentally...thats a silly question. Its all about preferences.
