Yesterday, which is 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar in August, is the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Not going out to play with my friends, I spent the time with my families. On this day, my mother I went to the market to buy the fruits in order to prepare for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Of course, we have already bought the mooncakes before.
At night, family members and I gathered to go to a park, admiring the full moon with circular shape, eating moon cakes and pomelos together. In the beginning, it was comfortable that we were eating moon cakes outside under the moon.
Apart from this traditional culture, it was funny that my mother put the pomelo rinds on my head after eating the pomelos. A little later, I put the rinds to the others' heads, everyone burst into laughter at that moment. Then, we were all carrying the brightly lit lanterns and wandering around the park. We saw the park keepers trying their best to forbid the visitors to have wax burning. It was a good news.
Mid-Autumn Festival was a good time for family gathering. I was delighted to have a wonderful time with my families, especially my parents who were busy at works in their daily life. However, I hope my parents will have more time to accompany with me every day. Why can’t every day like the Mid-Autumn Festival?
