Dissolve the sodium in ethanol to neutralize(or oxidize) it. After the reaction is complete, add a large amount of distilled water to dilute the solution. It should be handled with extreme care.

I think we should add plenty of water to turn it into sodium hydroxide. Then we can dispose it in liquid state or we can neutralize it with hydrochloric acid and dispose.
