why does my gf like it when i cry?

we we're talking just now and she just randomly says "do you think we should take a break?" and i was like what do you mean and she said "like from each other, like not date for a while" and i started to cry (i know im weak sometimes). and she was like "aww you do care" and i said what? she said "I just wanted to see if you actually cared about me" i thought this was really weird why would she do this??????
