It is a very ZEN kind of question?
To me, it is a desire to want to learn to become better yourself, to further reduce your shortcomings till they become zero and to further enhance your world of knowledge. It is a life time pursue.

As to HOW, it differs from person to person. But the desire to learn attitude has to be there, within you. You will find ways to learn HOW. It is because the methods of HOW can be changed due to your own personal experience.
