Two options:
1. In WinXP, for a partition less than 32Gb, back up all files in another disk/partition first then use command:
"format z: /FS:FAT32" (replace the "z:" with your target drive).
2. To create a FAT32 partition larger than 32GB within XP, you need a 3rd party formatting tool such as Partition Magic 8 or Acronis Partition Expert to format your disk. But XP can read FAT32 partitions larger than 32GB that has been created by Win9x/Me. Don't forget to back up all files before formatting as a precaution.
