But 第二句 "adopt"似乎用錯左, because"adopt+as" 先至係收養的
意思.

I'm glad that you adopted her as your pet. 呢句好似o岩d,係咪?

I was the owner of this pet before. (An awkward sentence)
I'm glad you adopt her. ( wrong tense)


XXXX was my pet./ I owned XXXX.

I'm glad (that) you adopted her as your pet.
