I wish I had problems like this.
But to get your answer you have to find a common denominator so it will be 14.
12/14 - 10/14 = 2/14
So now you have to find the simplest form.
Your answer is 1/7

12/14 - 5/7 is 6/7 - 5/7 = 1/7.

12/14 - 5/7
= (12 ÷ 2)/(14 ÷ 2) - 5/7
= 6/7 - 5/7
= 1/7

12/14 - 10/14 = 2/14 = 1/7

first you gotta multiply 5/7 by 2 to get 10/14. then 12-10=2. so the answer is 2/14 which is 1/7.

find a common denominator which is 14 so this makes 5/7 now 10/14 subtract the numerators ant then reduce
1/7
