If the quadratic equation (hx-1)(x-1)=1 has one double real root, find the value of h.

hx^2-hx-x+1-1=0hx^2-(h+1)x=0
delta =0
h+1=0
h=-1

(hx-1)(x-1)=1
hx^2-hx-x+1-1=0
hx^2-(h+1)x=0
x(hx-h-1)=0
x=0 or hx-h-1=0
Sub. x=0 we have h=-1
hx^2-hx-x+1-1=0
hx^2-(h+1)x=0
x(hx-h-1)=0
x=0 or hx-h-1=0
Sub. x=0 we have h=-1
