✔ 最佳答案
(x + 1)/3 = x/2
2x + 2 = 3x
x = 2

Answer: x = 2

Check:
(2 + 1)/3 = 2/2
3/3 = 1
1 = 1

(x+1)/3=x/2
cross multiply
2x+2=3x
2=3x-2x
2=x
ANSWER x=2
verify
(2+1)/3=2/2
3/3=2/2
1=1

here's my solution:
(x+1)/3 = x/2
cross multiply
2(x+1) = 3x
2x+2 = 3x
combine like terms
2 = 3x - 2x
x = 2 (final answer)

x+1/3 = x/2
2x+2 = 3x
3x-2x = 2
x=2

(x + 1)/3 = x/2.

Cross multiply which means multiplying the 2 times (x + 1) and the 3 times x. This clears out the denominators.

2(x + 1) = 3x. Multiply x + 1 by 2.

2x + 2 = 3x. Get the x terms on one side of the equation by subtracting 2x from both sides.

2 = 3x - 2x. 2 = x or x = 2. Answer

Check your work by putting x = 2 in the original equation.

(2 + 1)/3 = 2/2. 3/3 = 2/2. 1 = 1.

(x + 1)/3 = x/2
x + 1 = 3(x/2)
x + 1 = 3x/2
2(x + 1) = 3x
2(x) + 2(1) = 3x
2x + 2 = 3x
2x - 3x = -2
-x = -2
x = -2/(-1)
x = 2

It's important, when solving these problems, to plug your answer back into the original equation to make sure you did the steps right. If Mc.Zee had done that, she would have noticed that she made a sign error.

(x+1)/3 = x/2
2(x+1) = 3x
2x+2 = 3x
2 = 3x - 2x
x = 2

Test:

(2+1)/3 = 2/2
1 = 1

It's good.

( x +1) /3 = x /2
2 (x +1) = 3 x
2x + 2 = 3x
x = 2 ans

(x+1)/3 = x/2
2(x+1) = 3x
2x+2 = 3x
3x-2x = -2
x = (-2)
