seemed clever, but..., why would you think she would care about the weight of a polar bear in the start!? and be so sure that she d answer 'i dont know' for you to continue on the punch?

pick up lines and ice breakers are fine, just be tasteful in what you choose to use, to give you an example:

if there are venders of roses around, get a rose, walk up to her, and say, a rose for a rose, how do you do! ;)

There's an AC/DC song with a huge bass solo, i'm not sure which one it is because i didn't actually hear the song itself, a friend of mine just plays it all the time. Also there's some cool sparks stuff i think, or maybe it's another glam rock era band. I'm pretty sure it's sparks though. Of course check out some floyd, roger waters is a cool bassist

ummm...as a pick up line it sucks royally. but i think pick ups are cute BECAUSE they are so lame. but i have heard a couple that were actually good. but i would laugh (at you for saying it) but it would definately "break the ice" lol.

Whatever happened to "Hello, I'm __________. It's nice to meet you." Women over 18 tend to dismiss men who use any pickup line, no matter how cute. Also, based on the replies here, you might need to IQ test her to see if she would get it first.

In fact, I might be changing my mind as I type thinking it might be a good way to weed out the vapid.
