最大問題係嗰間玻璃屋起之前有冇入則 (即由註冊則師或工程師出圖 , 再俾建築署批核 , 之後才建造) , 如果冇入則 , 咁嗰間玻璃屋就係屬於違例建築 , 如果俾屋宇署捉到 , 就會發信要求你拆除

我幫好多人起過玻璃屋 , 試過幾次一起好就俾屋宇署出信叫拆 , 業主喊都冇謂 !
所以如果你好鍾意間玻璃屋的話 , 你可以搏吓唔拆
但如果你都唔係太鍾意的話 , 最好都係拆咗佢啦 , 費是有手尾啦 !

玻璃屋一般沒有說到耐用程度,只有閣下想其用途而已,
若是不需要的當然可以拆,但有需要的,可以在裝修時將玻璃屋重新裝飾一番,亦是別有風味。

It is quite difficult to give you an answer. It quite depends on the quality of the material, the workmanship and the maintenance. Invite some technicians in this field to inspect on site. Just ask them you want to repair and ask for their comment. Go to the specialty shops (eg professional in aluminium works, glass house etc) and remember to check whether you have to pay any inspection fee.
