actually i don't think that's a wrong grammar, and Eminem has a song "When I'm gone" as well.
as you may know that, is/am/are + past particple is a passive voice,
for instance, the report is written by John,
so "When you're gone" is probably a passive voice, but who actually takes that action? it may possibly means the god, all the things happen to them, or something like that.
when you're gone, in other words, it means when you are dead as well, so it's probably not a wrong grammar i suppose.
