actually i don't think that's a wrong grammar, and Eminem has a song "When I'm gone" as well.

as you may know that, is/am/are + past particple is a passive voice,
for instance, the report is written by John,
so "When you're gone" is probably a passive voice, but who actually takes that action? it may possibly means the god, all the things happen to them, or something like that.

when you're gone, in other words, it means when you are dead as well, so it's probably not a wrong grammar i suppose.

This lyric of the song is about a girl and her lover, they were separate. When they were together before, she did not treasure that. She always needs time on her own.
