For the analysis of high rise buildings, I recommend you to read book called "Tall Building Structures Analysis and Design", Bryan Stafford Smith & Alex Coull.
This book is very good because it covers different structural forms for high rise building structures.
I bought this book when I studied at university (> 10 years...) and am not pretty sure whether it is still available in book stores.
Since I haven't done building structure design after graduated from univ and don't know which structural forms are widely used. But, based on my observation, a lot of residental blocks (>20 storeys) and offices are in the form of "core wall" and "shear wall" with rigid frames. It is because lift shafts have to be in buildings. If a shaft is needed, why not get it designed to take up loading.
A tall building (say > 10 storeys) with rigid frame alone is not very good at resisting horiz loads (e.g. wind loading). Hence, unless a building is very small in plan, it should be formed of differental structural systems.
