What does it mean when you say I love you and they don't say it back?

I was walking down the street with my boyfriend and told him that I loved everything about him. He said, "Oh so you love everything about me except me?" I said, "Of course I love you." Later that night when I was leaving I told him that I meant it when I said I love you. And he said, " When did you say that?" Then I said, "Nevermind I take it back" (jokingly) He just laughed and changed the subject. What does this mean? This is his first relationship and I am his first girlfriend (he's 30 btw).

I'm like that...except I'm not thirty. lolI'm nineteen, but I have like a problem with people saying they love me and with me saying I love them...
like it's a personal thing, I'm sure it has nothing to do with you...
I have problems being close to people because all my childhood friends I grew to love moved away before I could tell them I loved them all.
Now I just feel like if I say the words, they will leave me, or something will happen that shouldnt...
So maybe this too is what he is thinking...he's afraid....nothing to be ashamed of...
just calmly talk to him...tell him you are open to anything personal that's going on as to why he doesnt want to talk about love.

sometimes guys have a hard time saying those three little words it dont really mean anything he will say it when the time is right just dont push for it cause if you do then you will feel he said it cause you asked him about it. There is alot of ways that someone can show you that they love you without saying it. When he does say it you will feel overwelmed believe me it will come just be patient he loves you girl!

he might have got kinda of scared because some one really means it for once.just wait for him to tell you he loves you.which shouldn't be long.how long have you too been together?

welll...it could mean he doesnt "love" you. But it could also mean he doesnt wanna rush things. Sometimes guys wont say "i love you" because they really like the girl and they dont want to mess it up.
