Zack Greinke gets my vote for the Cy Young. But Felix Hernandez needs to be included in the Cy Young discussion, he's been better than either Sabathia or Halladay this year.
It should be Verlander. Grienke would be my runner up. I would give the nod to Verlander because Grienke hasn't pitched in must win games because the Royals suck.
Halladay hasn't pitched in the pennet race all year.
And Sabathia is only top 3 in Wins. His ERA and SO are both worse than Verlander and Grienkes.
Of your three ,I'll go with Sabathia. He is winning games and is a big part of the Yankees pitching staff that has helped put them in position to win it all.My next vote is for Roy Halladay. He hasn't allowed the trade talks distract him from being a top pitcher.
Last is Greinke.I see he is getting a lot of support here, but keep in mind he started out 7 and 0.His ERA was under 1. Where is he now?I know the Royals suck, but a Cy Young pitcher wins his games.Look up Steve Carlton in 1973 for the Phillies. They were a last place team that couldn't see .500 with a telescope and Lefty won 25 or so games.Since his fast start Greinke is under .500 and his ERA has been steadily rising. That ain't Cy Young material, kids.
