The New York Yankees swept the Texas Rangers in the ALDS in 1996, 1998, and 1999 three times of the year. The Yankees did won the World Series in 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000. But the Rangers didn't win the ALDS three times of the year, had never been the ALCS and the World Series for the first time.

You cannot rely on past history to predict the outcome of games in the future, no matter who the teams are. The Yankees are a very good team, but they are not invincible, and can certainly be defeated in a 5 or 7 game series (the White Sox recently took 3 out of 4 from them in Chicago). It all depends on who is pitching.

Nobody knows who would win the games, and that is why they have to play the games to find out

This is one of the best Ranger teams in history. This team gives 110% and won't be easy for the Yanks. Trust me. If your hoping they'll roll over and die it's not gonna happen.

Michael M is wrong. Jeter, Posada, Rivera, and Petitte ( if you don't include his stint in Houston) are all from the old teams. Also, the coach (Girardi) played on some of the old teams as well. "Top Contributor" gives completely false information, amazing.
