I have achieved 10 A*s at GCSE, and I've chosen Biology, Maths, Chemistry and French for AS. I'm planning to do loads of extra curricular activities, like the Duke of Edinburgh award, shadow work, voluntary work etc.
I want to know whether a medical degree from the Golden Triangle Universities is better than a degree elsewhere.
I.e., do medical graduates from Oxford or Cambridge get paid more and do they have better hours than other medical graduates who sometimes work 50 hour weekly shifts?
- Do I have a realistic chance of getting into Oxford or Cambridge for medicine?
- Is doing medicine at Oxbridge better than doing it at other universities? For example, in general, do medical graduates from Universities like Leeds earn less than graduates from the Golden Triangle Universities?
- Is It true that degrees in Dentistry pay more and provide a better lifestyle for graduates (i.e. better hours -no night shifts etc)?
- How much does the average medical graduate from Oxbridge earn after the first few years from graduation- compared to other universities?
- What makes Medicine at Oxford/Cambridge different to other medical schools (apart from less patient contact in the first few years)?
- Why is it that Oxford and Cambridge don't have dental schools?
