All logic goes out the window in the playoffs. Any team can beat another in a best out of five series. That being said I think that unless Cole Hamels pitches really really well than the world series will probably be Cardinals vs. Yankees. The Cardinals 1-2 punch of Wainwright and Carpenter is pretty darn good. Plus they actually have good hitters in their lineup unlike the Giants who also have a great 1-2 punch. I think the Yankees will win simply because they are the best team in baseball by far right now, and with the exception of Gaudin/Mitre/Aceves all of their starters have a real chance to completely shut down the opposing team.

The Yankees. CC/Pettite/Joba/Burnett pitch good games, and with the yankees offense they get easy wins.. With Mitre/Gaudin the offense can carry the team and Aceves Can pitch 2-3 innings

The Yankees, a destructive lineup and Dominant pitching rotation. Great bench players, and a great bullpen with the best closer ever. They also have great chemistry and a great manager. It will be tough to beat them.
