webcam not working??

I use the DELL 1318- Windows Vista 32 simplified Chinese version, and i installed the webcam into the laptop but it doesn't work and i opened the webcam application, it says: No supported webcam driver detected, Please install the webcamdriver using the Dell Resource CD,and launch webcam centre again.

But i have already installed the webcam driver!My other friend uses XP and the webcam worked for her, but not for Vista?? Why? And are there any ways to make the webcam work??

Maybe u need to uninstall software (which are related to webcam) first from Add/REmove program in Control Panel, If you finish , pls reboot computer once.
After, you should browse on following website (Dell CN) and find a cataloge named: 触摸板及输入设备

there is a webcam Driver for 1318 Simp Chinese Vista use.
DOwnload and Install it.

Driver for Vista and XP maybe get a little different, maybe you can use XP Driver on Vista system, or nor. So some manufacturer will release a Vista Driver for user installation.
I try this before for other old webcam, which can work on XP. HOwever this old webcam cant work on Vista , although i install XP Driver (NO vista Driver provided), as result i need to find a Vista Driver and install it.
