They know so well that their pays are way higher than the rest of the staff's in their company. Since they have a vested interest in their jobs, I do not think
they would speak up and approve the pay slash.
They wouldn't go against themselves, would they?
They are well aware that their salary is much higher than the rest but as one holding the vested interest, how would they ever openly support the pay-cut? They would not do anything against their own interest, would they?
