lolllllll wow i literally laughed when i saw this question not at the fact that the yankees were included cause their good but laughed at the fact that the red sox were on the question. red sox arent even that good anymore thats the way i see them. the yankees are way ahead of them and i dont even like either of the teams. yankees 26 world series chamionships.ALL TEAMS BETTER THAN THE RED SOX

I know the rivalry is big, but there is NO comparison, the yankees beat the red sox in EVERY good historical / statistical category and they have always been the better team. Red Sox fans can try to sound smart but they never do because the yankees are better and they know it. I dont even need to bring out the numbers, even on the great debate (VH1) they said the yanks are better by a landslide. Another fact, 95 % of red sox "nation" has been around since 2004.

Is this a matter of like or dislike? or stats and just plain baseball ability. Playing wise, the Yankees are currently the better team. Even though the Red Sox record against the Yankees this year is 9-6, the Yankees have shown that they have played better since those early meetings.
A matter of dislike/like, I like the Yankees. Classy organization without the rude fans (not all, but many) you experience in Boston. A study was done where a reporter wore a Boston Jersey at Yankee Stadium, and then a NY Jersey at Fenway.
His report found that the Yankee fans, although did some light ribbing were still cordial (ie. holding door open, etc.)
In Boston, he experienced extreme hostility, racist comments, and things like drinks and garbage thrown at him.
Kind of shows you the class of fans.

Clearly the Yankees. They have the better pitching, hitting, an bullpen right now. They overmatch the Sox at everything for now but when right, the Sox pen is better.

Clearly the Yanks. Better pitching, way better offense that is capable of beating any pitcher. Red Sox aren't that great, I just hope they don't face the Angels again. If so, we will still take them down with our offense and pitching. Our defense isn't bad either. New record with 18 straight errorless games. Yanks are better. I dislike the Red Sox cause they are our rivals

Yankees first place, red Sox second place & that makes them better, better won loss record makes them the better team & dislike the red Sox only because they are my team's rivals, but don't hate them but respect them as a well run baseball organization
