I do not understand Scott Kazmir trade?

Rays' offence is much more stronger than Rays pitching staff. If they lose one or two bats from their offence, they will still be a quality ballclub. They should have, and could have tried to trade Carlos Pena or Crawford or Pat Bourell, and they still could have been a solid ballclub.

secondly, pitcher like Kazmir does not come very often.

He is owed $11 million in 2010 and $12 million 2011 on a club option. Despite going to the World Series last year, the attendance at the Trop is disappointing and the Rays just can't afford Kazmir.

He's a key pitcher that was just having an off year. i could nopt believe they traded him. Especially in the race they are in. Lefty's don't come around often that good. He whipped the Yanks when Sabathia pitched against him.
