Yesterday was my mother's birthday.She is 46 now.It has been two years since she retired. As for my father, he is still working.My mother was so happy to receive 3 boxes of chocolate from me
and she loved the seafood meal my elder sister cooked for us.
We just knew she would love them both.
Mistakes:
1) my mother's birthday<------------------
2) She retired two years ago. ( simple past tense)
or
It has been two years since she retired. <--- present perfect tense + she retired(simple past tense).

Yesterday was my mother's birthday. She is 46 years old now. She has been retiring since two years ago, but my fatheris still working. I bought 3 boxes of chocolate for my mother. As for my sister, she made some seafood for my mother. We know my mother would enjoy both.
