Where can I get a nice list of Math symbols?

I know that you can use Character Map to get a decent amount of them. However, I have been noticing some special characters being used that I have not been able to find. For example, I saw a little "4" for log base 4 and I have seen some superscript characters with powers greater than 3. I've also seen a character for "^-1" as well.

Surprisingly, I cannot seem to find them on Google. Searching them just gives me the typical math symbols that you cannot easily produce using alt keys or the character map thing.

So does anyone know where I can get alot of these symbols?

No! Not those! There are some really special symbols. I've also noticed that you can only see some of them with Firefox. Here are some examples: ⁻¹ (I know where the 1 comes form) ⁴ (Fourth power) There are some other ones.

PLEASE READ THE ADDITIONAL DETAILS! I am thumbs downing everyone who posts that Wikipedia article. That is not what I want!

As for those pesky exponents, this seems most easily done in MS Math editor. Better yet, try this on wordpad or notepad (this does not seem to work on these yahoo answer boxes):

Press control+shift+"+" (actually press the plus button); this gets you into the exponent mode. Do this again to get out of exponent mode.

I suggest you to get a nice list of math symbols in Microsoft Word.

If you are using microsoft word, you can use equation editor, which has ridiculous amounts of possibilities, probably things you've never even seen before (at least for me)
