✔ 最佳答案
A = B + 1 ... (1)
B/2 = A/4 + 1... (2)
Sub (1) into (2), B/2 = (B + 1)/4 + 1
Mutiply both sides by 4,
2B = B + 1 + 4
2B - B = 5
B = 5
Sub into (1), A = 5 + 1 = 6

"Half of B exceeds one-fourth of A by 1" means half of B is BIGGER than one-fourth of A, and the DIFFERENCE is 1.

let x be the value of B , y be the value of A .

y = x+1 ---(1)

x/2+1=y/4 ---(2)

sub. (1) into (2) ,

0.5x+1=(x+1)/4

2x+4=x+1

x=-3

y=x+1

=-3+1

=-2
