Which is better as the red sox closer? -Jonathan Papelbon or Billy Wagner?

Keep Papelbon and his arrogant attitude as closer. Use Wagner to enhance the Bullpen, Red Sox could benefit from this. Did you read Papelbon's comments on the issue? What a selfish little jerk.

If you are a Red Sox Fan, you DO NOT! want Billy Wagner Closing Big games For you. Have you ever watched him pitch in a big game?! Papelbon is an ***, but he Does NOT blow Big Saves very often. Im a Yankee Fan, and I say Wagner is not a Pimple on the butt of Jonathan Papelbon.

I dont think he was Being selfish.. I think its more about Ego. If they need to bring in sumone who was once a great closer, It means they dont believe their pen is good enough and thats a smack int he face to Papelbon and everyone else in their pen.. and Jonathan has an Ego as Big as all outdoors.. As evidenced by him saying if the Allstar Game had a Save situation, he would go with himself Over MAriano Rivera, IN yankee Stadium LOL

Well, he doesn't want to close this year cause he can only pitch every 2 or 3 days. So I don't see Billy getting mad a Papelbon cause of that this year. I think he understands his role and knows that he ain't gona close this year. Billy's gona be real good for the Red Sox this year when he does pitch. His stuff looked electric, and he doesn't look like he lost anything on his stuff. The only downside for the Red Sox is that he can only pitch every couple of days. He can probably even close at times if Papelbon can't go for some reason. I think that trade was good for both teams. One of the guys we got in that trade looked pretty good in the minors. The only thing for the Red Sox is Papelbon's reaction to Wagner. I don't think him and Wagner are gona be good friends.

Currently it's loud mouth opiniated papelbon but all time, Wagner since he is 6th on the all time save list

Pabelbon. Wagner was the Brad Lidge of 2007-2008. He's older now and he just came back from surgery. So Pabelbon by a mile.

While i do agree Papelbon is arrogant he does get the job done while Wagner has been known to blow important games.

I'd put Billy Wagner in. He's one of the best closers ever.
