✔ 最佳答案
2x + 3y = - 1
y = (- 2x - 1)/3

- 2x + 3y = - 5
y = (2x - 5)/3

Value of x:
- 2x - 1 = 2x - 5
4x = 4
x = 1

Value of y—1st equation:
= (- 2[1] - 1)/3
= (- 2 - 1)/3
= - 3/3 or - 1

Answer: b. (1, - 1)

Proof—2nd equation:
- 2(1) + 3(- 1) = - 5
- 2 - 3 = - 5
- 5 = - 5

6 y = - 6
y = - 1

2x - 3 = - 1
2x = 2
x = 1

x = 1 , y = - 1

ADD THEM!

6y = -6
y = -1
plug that in to find x
-2 (-1) + 3y = -5

simplify...
2 + 3y = -5
3y = -7
y = -7/3

hope this helps

2x+3y=-1
-2x+3y=-5

6y=-6

6y-6=-6/6

y=-1

2x+3y=-1

2x+3*-1=-1

2x-3=-1

2x=-1+3

2x/2=2/2

x=1

2x+3y = -1 (i)
-2x+3y = -5 (ii)
By adding, we get 6y = -6
Therefore, y = -1

By substituting y = -1 in equation (i), 2x + (3)(-1) = -1
2x-3 = -1 or 2x = -1+ 3
2x = 2 or x = 1
The answer is (1, -1) i.e. (b)

2x+3y = -1
-2x+3y = -5 (the 2x's will cancel out process of substitution)

3y= -1
3y=-5 (add)

6y=-6 (divide)

y=-1

so your answer is B

Solve by using addition.

2x + 3y = -1
-2x + 3y = -5

.....2x + 3y = -1
+) -2x + 3y = -5
----------------------------
.............6y = -6

6y = -6
y = -6/6
y = -1

2x + 3y = -1

Substitute -1 for y and solve for x.
2x + 3(-1) = -1
2x - 3 = -1
2x = -1 + 3
x = 2/2
x = 1

∴ x = 1, y = -1

x=1
y=-1

answer is "B"
if u not stisfy put these value in place of X and Y
2009-08-27 7:44 pm
2x+3y = -1....(1)
-2x+3y = -5.......(2)

adding (1) and (2) we get 6y = -6
=> y = -1
so from (1) we get 2x -3 = -1
=>2x=2
=>x=1

2x+3y = -1
-2x+3y = -5
Add both
6y= -6
y=-1
Subtract
4x= 4
x=1
