The teacher is a graduate of MIT and Harvard Business School, but he teaches math in a way that even I can understand. I had an accident and had trouble with Math until I found his videos on You Tube. From there, I discovered his web site, and my Math improved so much people were baffled at how it could happen.
Khan's You Tube channel is also KhanAcademy. You can find examples for your problem in the Algebra section. He does all algebra questions, from easier to harder.
He even makes Math sound fun, and I used to despise Math before I found that channel.

Do you mean 5 - (2x/7) or ( 5 - 2x ) / 7 ?

35 - 2x = 7 - (7x - 28)

7x - 2x = 7 + 28 - 35
5x = 0
x = 0

5 - 2x/7 = 1 - (x-4)
5 - 1 - 4 = 2x/7 - x
0 = 2x - 7x
-5x = 0
