Due to certain rumour about the American eggs, the cost of Chinese eggs suddenly increases to $3.5 per dozen. He immediately stocks 300 dozens Chinese eggs at this cost. He then sells the USA eggs at $0.5 each and the Chinese eggs at $0.7 each. However he can sell only 29 dozen USA eggs and 230 dozen Chinese eggs. The rest sre destroyed.
(a). What is his profit or loss per cent?
(b). If Mr. Lee had forecast a decrease in demand for eggs and stocked only 240 dozens of the Chinese eggs at the mew cost, what would his profit or loss per sent have been?
2.The number of houes John spends on studying is normally three times that of Simon. This week, each of them spends an additional 6 hours on studying. As a result, the number of hours John spends on studying is twice that of Simon. How many hours in this week does?
