for grey imports, buy from ebay, recommend t-dimension, prices are really cheap and bundled with a lot of gifts.

I bought mine from http://www.Cameta.com . Cameta also has an amazon store, ebay store and a physical location that has been in amityville since 1983. They have more than 95% of their reviews as positive reviews.

eBay. Overhauled and ready to use.
Bear in mind that my camera is a vintage SLR, discontinued 20 so years ago. Not sold by the local digi place.

Murphy's Cameras, I buy all my camera body's there. But I've used Adorama, B&H, and Amazon also. And not had a problem with any.

Edit: If your're looking for any "newly released" cameras, your local Photography store will have them a month or so before you can get them "online", but I'm not talking about "Best Buy", a real, dedicated camera store.

Hey :]

If you are thinking of buying a camera of the internet.. I would definitley choose a good site & most importantly actually view it before you buy it... The reason why you should view it before you buy it is so you know that the camera works and is in good condition. :] Good Luck

I bought my point & shoot at Best Buy, and my DSLR from Ritz Camera, both locally. I would rather buy electronics locally, because if I should have a problem, I can just go back to the store.

I bought a really nice photography camera from newegg.com
i tried like a million other sites and they just turned out to be scams
but newegg delivered my camera within 2 days of ordering, and it came brand new with a discount.
i recommend the place if you are going to purchase from the internet.
plus they are reliable, UPS works with them.

I have found amazon.com, adorama.com, bhphoto.com, and jandr.com to be pretty reliable internet vendors.

It's always a good idea to check the internet, but be sure who you're buying from. Always check www.resellerratings.com before you buy.

You know those deals you see on cameras that are close to half the price they are in the stores? No such thing as a free lunch - you'll find that most of these places (especially in NYC) are simply fronts for scam artists. The site I've mentioned will let you know.

I bought mine locally in my city. If something goes wrong, they're right there; no mailing or worrying about insurance or damage.
