a) 1 km = 1000 m = 10^3 mso 1 km^3 = (10^3)^3 m^3 = 10^9 m^3.
1.35 km^3 = 1.35 x 10^9 m^3.
b) Number of days = 1.35 x 10^9 / 2.7 x 10^6 = 0.5 x 10^(9 - 6)
= 0.5 x 10^3 = 5 x 10^2 days = 500 days.
