Whenever I read about someone cheating on someone else I feel hurt inside like if I've been cheated on myself....
I've noticed I seem to be more bothered by females cheating (probably because I'm male) but when men do it I just feel the usual anger towards someone who could do that. Also, one off sexual events hurt me while someone having an affair bothers me less...
I haven't been cheated on except my last girlfriend once kissed a guy when we began dating, of course that hurt and this pain feels similar.
Why do I feel hurt when I read someone cheating despite I'm not the one being cheated on?
Whenever I hear about cheating I feel hurt?

That's a good thing :). It means you care about people and don't want to hurt them. May also be because you are scared of getting hurt again though after your girlfriend cheating on you but don't assume all girls will do the same thing otherwise it will ruin your relationships.

It is okay to feel emotions based on other people's situations. When I watch fighting on TV it hurts me to watch them get beat up!
