I have calculated from the point test and got 115 pts only. Was there successful case to get the PR at this point?
If you only can get 115 points, chances are 99.99% certain that you cannot apply Permanent Residence in Australia.
The pass mark for the point test is 120, if you apply onshore, you must have 120 as there are no pool mark for onshore application.
If you apply offshore, then you can be in the "Pool" for 110 points, if the quota for that year did not satisified, then the DIAC will start the pool mark application. However, the quota was full in the past 10 year, you be the judge.
Beside taking the NAATI, anything I can do to add 5 more marks in order to reach 120? For your info, I conducted research in Uni for several and started teaching for a year
Since i don't know what, when and where you do anything, i cannot comment on how you can get extra 5 points. but in general, beside Age, Skill and English Profiency, there are the follow way to get 5 points
1.) Get an Australian Qualification
2.) Get an NAATI certificate
3.) Work in Australia in related field for 1 year, full time (Full time mean you were employed in a paid position of no less than 40 hours a week)
4.) Work in related field for 3 years, doesn't matter where
5.) Have a spouse, and s/he can also apply skill migration (Satisified the basic requirment
This all will give you extra npoints, if you tell me more of your situation, i would be able to deduce the points for you better.
