塔羅牌的體系基本上分成3種:
韋特(Rider Waite), 托特(Thoth), 馬賽(Marseilles)
韋特(Rider Waite)是現時最普遍的體系, 以rider為基礎的主題牌也有很多,
馬賽(Marseilles)是最古老的牌,
而托特(Thoth)比rider更新一點, 基本上thoth不似前2者, 它只有一種牌, 而圖案也加入了很多神秘學和星座的圖案等。
