何謂 Mate Fishing

這裡應該是客人打錯字了～
應該是 matte finish 才對
就是啞色的意思
以照片來講就是那種霧面，不反光的那種

finish 還有一種「加工」的意思
像烤漆啊什麼的都可以算是 finish

所以 matte finish 呢，就是指不反光表面啦～

外國人口語中常常會用 mate 來叫人
例如 Thanks mate 來說謝謝
剛剛那句是比較英國人才會用的
美國人沒有那麼常用
同學也是 classmate，class-mate，班上的朋友

Mate 也有動詞的解釋，也就是「交配」
一般當然是指動物之間的那種啦

由此可見…板主收到客人打 mate finishing 完完全全是錯誤
不知道是板主自己看錯所以才打錯，還是客人自己寫錯
畢竟 mate 跟 matte 就差一個 t 而已嘛

英語的發音與 spelling (拼字) 有很大的關聯
外國人是依發音或念法把單字拼出來
所以錯別字或拼錯字是常有的事

但 mate 發音與 matte完全不同
不致有寫錯字的問題

mate 是發 date 的尾音

matte 是發 at 的尾音
與 mat 同音
matte 若寫錯
也要寫成 mat
