高手請進 (Q.24) Translation

There is a kind of small shrimp in the sea which would swim into a sponge in pairs when they are small. They live there and grow bigger each day to an extent that they could not swim out from the sponge anymore. Most even die inside the sponge in the end.

Admiring their love that transcends death, people refer those shrimps as “couple shrimps’, the sponge “a place to grow old together”.

阿氏偕老同穴（學名：Euplectella aspergillum），是一種屬於六放海綿綱偕老同穴屬的海綿。因為擁有二氧化矽質的骨針，也被稱作玻璃海綿。常被用做觀賞用途。英語俗名Venus' Flower Basket。

There is a type of small shrimp in the sea. They swim in pairs into the body of the sponge when they were young. Then they grow up and develop thereafter. However, they cannot swim back out of the sponge after growing up. They even die in the body of the sponge.
People really do admire this type of everlasting love – “Till death do us part.” Thus people name this shrimp as儷蝦, and name this sponge as “Living under the same roof until getting old.”
