j_hungray brother, too bad you were only born in USA, but not living in USA..... you have no idea what and how actually America school system works.

first, your daughter can stay in US and go to high school there. in US, study in what grade at school is not important. all you need is how many credits you had toward for graduation. ( the HS requried 54 cridets ). so when your daughter apply the school, they will check her HK school report cards ( remember show them all high school years ). then they will determaine which class she should start. again, grade 11, grade 12 is not important in here.

second, YES, you and your HB and son can returned to HK after you landed. and there are 2 ways to do it........
1.) all of you stay in HK but not more than 1 year ( you can use the green card to come back USA, you can do it consider as vacation and / or visiting your daughter.....etc.
2.) after you landed, apply the re-entry permit then go back to HK. the permit allow you stay in HK about 2 years. ( you only need to fill the form, pay the fee, then wait for finger paint letter. no question will ask )
either way, you still do have good causes to live in HK, so you should be ok.

the only thing i concern is your son who continue school in HK. he may missed the opportunity to receive early American school education. ( the middle school is a very important seasons ) it will effect his English and cultural learning and increase the diffcult in the time when he enter higher education level.

Re-entry permit can only be used for absend for LESS THAN 2 years, absent more than 2 years, unless you have a very good reason, reentry permit cannot save you

You cannot study senior year in high school directly (At least you cannot do it in public School) You need to start from eleventh grade
Can I return to HK with my son (to be P.6 2009) and husband after landing, then return to US after completing F.2 in HK?
no, that will be too long
Are these valid reasons to apply for 回美證?
yes, taking care of family member is a reason to apply re-entry permit

Dude, i don't know which high school you study, but in publich school, you take SAT reasoning in second half of 11th grade, you take the rest in year 12.

SAT reasoning is the one the University take interest of you as this is sort of like a aptitude test. The rest of SAT is academic part, which is also important.

Although technically, you can take the reasoning in first half of 12th grade, but not too many student do so. and since the 2002 changes, most high school do not accept transferee directly to 12 grade (Senior year)
